vina - High Density Polyethylene
High density polyethylene (HDPE) or polyethylene high-density (PEHD) is a polyethylene thermoplastic obtained from petroleum. It takes about 1.75 kilograms of petroleum (in terms of energy and raw materials) to give one kilogram of HDPE. HDPE is commonly recycled, and has the number "2" as its recycling symbol. HDPE is the high density version of PE plastic. It is harder, stronger and a little heavier than LDPE, but less ductile.
Flexible, translucent or waxy, weather-resistant, exhibits good strength at low temperatures (to -60'C), easy to process by most methods, low cost and good chemical resistance.
